The multi storied four screen complex was constructed by our founder Sri. P.K.Sreedharan Pillai (1931-2011). Theatre complex was inaugurated by our previous Chief Minister Sri.K.Karunakaran on the auspicious day of Vishu 1981. The one & only 70mm analogue 6 track sound Malayalam film PADAYOTTAM was opened at Athulya in 1981.
